Nagpur: The 77th anniversary of India's Independence will be celebrated in the premises of the Divisional Commissioner's office, where the flag hoisting will be conducted by Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister, Devendra Fadnavis. Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari reviewed the preparations for the event on Thursday with all concerned departments.
The review meeting, held in the conference hall of the Divisional Commissioner's office, was attended by Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, Soumya Sharma; Deputy Commissioner of the General Administration Department, Pradeep Kulkarni; Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shashikant Satav; Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rahul Madane; District Information Officer, Vinod Rapatwar; along with senior officials from the police, public works, health, and other departments.
Commissioner Bidari directed various departments to work in coordination and fulfill their responsibilities efficiently for the Independence Day program. A rehearsal for the event is scheduled for August 13 at 9:05 AM. On August 15, at 9:05 AM, the Deputy Chief Minister will hoist the national flag. The police band will present the national anthem and the Maharashtra state song. The Deputy Chief Minister will also present various awards and address the attendees during the ceremony.
