Nagpur: A major theft involving Rs 8 lakh in cash was reported at Bhavani Traders in the Ganeshpeth area. The incident occurred between 10 p.m. on October 26 and 7 a.m. on October 27, when the owner, Shashikant Vijaykumar Singhania, aged 48, closed his shop for the night and went home.

Singhania, who operates a store named “Shri Bhagwati Traders” within the Gujarat Hotel building at Cotton Market Chowk, returned the next morning to find the shutter lock broken and cash missing from a drawer inside the store. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, he observed three unidentified individuals engaged in the theft.

Following Singhania’s complaint, Ganeshpeth Police have registered a case under sections 305, 331(4), and 3(5) of the BNS.
