Nagpur: In a commendable effort to prevent the breakdown of marriages, the Nagpur Police’s Bharosa Cell has successfully resolved 460 marital disputes in just four months, offering couples a chance to rebuild their relationships and avoid separation.
From January to April 2025, the Bharosa Cell received a total of 697 cases involving domestic and marital discord. Of these, 237 cases are still under hearing, while 460 disputes have been amicably resolved through counseling and legal intervention. The cell received 414 cases referred from various police stations, and 416 couples underwent counseling sessions during this period.
Additionally, legal aid was provided to 220 individuals, protection officers were involved in 26 cases, and 31 matters were escalated to court.
The Bharosa Cell, led by Seema Surve, focuses on restoring trust and harmony in families through patient listening, emotional support, and legal guidance. The team’s dedicated work has transformed many emotionally fragile situations into stories of hope and reconciliation, reinforcing the importance of dignity and peace in family life.
