Nagpur: In a major relief for passengers travelling to and from Nagpur, Central Railway has announced the operation of two special trains under the “Train on Demand (TOD @1.3)” scheme to manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic.
LTT–Nagpur Special Train Details
Train No. 01021 will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Mumbai on April 3, 2026 (Friday) at 00:55 hrs and arrive in Nagpur at 15:45 hrs the same day.
On the return journey, Train No. 01022 will leave Nagpur on April 4, 2026 (Saturday) at 20:00 hrs and reach LTT at 11:45 hrs the next day.
Halts include: Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha.
Composition: 22 coaches comprising 1 AC 2-tier, 6 AC 3-tier, 9 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, and 2 Guard-cum-Luggage Vans.
Pune–Nagpur Special Train Details
Train No. 01467 will depart from Pune on April 3, 2026 (Friday) at 15:50 hrs and arrive in Nagpur at 06:30 hrs the next day.
Train No. 01468 will depart from Nagpur on April 4, 2026 (Saturday) at 08:00 hrs and reach Pune at 23:30 hrs the same day.
Halts include: Uruli, Daund Cord Line, Ahmednagar (Ahilyanagar), Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, and Wardha.
Composition: 20 coaches including 2 AC 2-tier, 4 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, and 2 Guard-cum-Luggage Vans.
Booking and Passenger Information
Both special trains will run with modern LHB coaches, ensuring enhanced safety and passenger comfort.
As per Central Railway, bookings will open from March 24, 2026, at all PRS counters and on the IRCTC website. Some coaches will remain unreserved, and tickets for these can be purchased via the UTS system.
Railway authorities have urged passengers to book early and take advantage of these special services to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey during the peak travel period.
