Bajaj Nagar Police Apprehend Externed Man Found Loitering Near Shraddhanand Bus Stop in Nagpur

Nagpur: Bajaj Nagar Police apprehended a 28-year-old man who had been previously externed from Nagpur city and rural limits, after he was found illegally present near Shraddhanand Bus Stop on the night of May 7, 2025.


According to officials, the police patrol team was conducting routine rounds in the jurisdiction around 11:35 pm when they received a tip-off about an externed person seen near Shraddhanand Bus Stop. When the police arrived at the location, the suspect attempted to flee but was caught after a brief chase.


The accused was identified as Kamal Mahesh Dakkah (28), a resident of Laxminagar, near the water tank in Bajaj Nagar. Upon verification, it was found that he had been externed from Nagpur city and rural areas for two years under Externment Order No. 3737/2024 issued by DCP Zone 1 on November 12, 2024.


Since Dakkah was found within the prohibited limits without prior permission, violating the externment order, a case was registered against him under Section 142 of the Maharashtra Police Act. He has been placed under arrest and further investigation is ongoing.
