Operation Shakti: Nagpur Crime Branch Unit-1 Cracks Down on Sex Racket in Hingna, 4 Women Rescued

Nagpur: In a major action under Operation Shakti, Crime Branch Unit-1 busted a sex racket in Hingna jurisdiction and arrested a 55-year-old accused for running a prostitution den.


On July 31, around 4.45 pm, acting on a tip-off, the team raided Mahalaxmikrupa Guest House, Kanholibara, Nagpur. During the raid, accused Narendra Prabhakar Ninave (55), resident of Teacher’s Colony, Butibori, Nagpur, was found facilitating prostitution for monetary gain by providing space to customers and forcing women into the trade.


Police rescued four women victims from the spot and seized valuables including two mobile phones, ₹6,000 cash, and other items worth a total of ₹52,170. A case was registered at Hingna Police Station under BNS Section 370(2) along with Sections 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). The accused has been handed over to Hingna Police along with seized property for further action.


The raid was executed under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Ravinderkumar Singal, Joint CP Navinchandra Reddy, Addl. CP Vasant Pardeshi, DCP (Detection) Rahul Makanikar, and ACP Abhijit Patil, by PI Amol Deshmukh, API Sachin Bhonde, and their team.
