Nagpur: The MIDC Police have successfully cracked a theft case involving a hydraulic company, arresting two suspects and recovering stolen material and a vehicle valued at ₹6.51 lakh.
As per reports, complainant Prashant Sureshchandra Shivhare (45), a resident of Pension Nagar, MIDC, had locked his workplace — Suprabha Hydraulic and Pneumatic Company — located at Plot No. W-129, Amar Nagar, and left for home on the evening of July 18, 2025. Between 8:00 PM on July 18 and 6:30 AM the next day, unidentified thieves broke the lock and made away with five hydraulic jacks, iron pipes, structural material, and tip sheets collectively worth ₹1.65 lakh.
Based on the complaint, MIDC Police registered an FIR under Sections 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code against unknown persons.
During investigation, technical inputs led officers to two scrap dealers —
1. Sonu Sohan Shahu (24), resident of Plot No. 34, Tulsinagar, Kalamna
2. Suraj Kamlesh Shahu (32), resident of Plot No. 36, Om Sai Nagar, Kalamna.
A raid was conducted at their respective scrap shops where the stolen material from the company was recovered. Upon interrogation, both suspects confessed to the crime. Police also seized the Mahindra Bolero Maxitruck (MH 40 Y 7812) used during the theft. The total seizure included stolen material and vehicle worth ₹6.51 lakh.
Further investigation is underway.
The operation was executed under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Ravinder Kumar Singal, Joint CP Navinchandra Reddy, Addl CP (South Region) Shivajirao Rathod, DCP (Zone 1) Singa Reddy Rishikesh Reddy, and ACP (MIDC Division) Satishkumar Gurav. The team comprised PI Gokul Mahajan, PSI Sanjay Bansod, and officers Deepak Sarate, Jitendra Khapuriya, Sunil Bais, Ismail Naurangabade, Arvind Ghiyye, Yogesh Bahadure, and Nilesh Dubey.
