Nagpur: The Nagpur Traffic Department has issued a stern warning to private travel bus operators violating city transport regulations. DCP Traffic Lohit Matani on Saturday cautioned that permits of repeat offenders will be suspended and vehicles seized if they continue to park, pick up, or drop passengers illegally within city limits.

As per a notification issued on September 12, 2025, private travel buses are prohibited from parking or halting for passenger pick-up or drop-off between 8 am and 10 pm along the Inner Ring Road and adjoining city areas.

Despite this ban, several operators have been found violating the order. The traffic department has initiated action under the Motor Vehicles Act, and persistent violators will now face permit cancellation through the Regional Transport Office (RTO), along with vehicle seizure.

DCP Matani appealed to all private bus drivers and owners to strictly adhere to traffic norms and cooperate with traffic police to ensure smooth movement across the city.
