Nagpur: The long-defunct toy train at Bal Udyan Garden in Seminary Hills may soon come back to life. Under the leadership of popular West Nagpur MLA Vikas Thakre, efforts are underway to revive the park’s attractions and improve public amenities.

MLA Thakre, along with officials from the Forest Department, met the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of Nagpur district to discuss the reopening of the Vanbala Toy Train, installation of CCTV cameras, and provision of a drinking water filtration unit inside the garden premises.

Following the meeting, Thakre visited the Bal Udyan Garden along with senior forest officials and carried out an on-site inspection. He directed the authorities to ensure necessary measures are taken to strengthen security, restore the toy train service, and upgrade visitor facilities for children and families.

The initiative is expected to give the historic garden a much-needed facelift and attract more visitors in the coming months.
