Truck Driver Booked for Fatal Accident on Nagpur-Amravati Road

Nagpur: Hingna Police have booked a truck driver for causing the death of a motorcyclist in a collision near Dhamna village on August 11.
Around noon to 1 pm, the victim, 31-year-old Rameshwar Vitthalrao Gawande, was riding his motorcycle (MH 40 BX 7841) towards Nagpur when a speeding truck (AP 30 TC 2192) allegedly rammed him from behind near the divider cutting close to Vedant Ghan.
Gawande sustained serious injuries and was rushed to AIIMS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Based on a complaint from the victim’s elder brother, Namdeo Gawande, police have booked the truck driver under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the BNS along with Sections 134, 177, and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The case is under investigation.
