Burglary Reported in Jaripatka on Raksha Bandhan; Cash and Gold Worth ₹6.05 Lakh Stolen

Nagpur: Thieves broke into a locked house in Sudarshan Colony, Bezonbagh, and escaped with cash and ornaments worth ₹6.05 lakh during the Raksha Bandhan celebrations.
Between 4 pm on August 9 and 4 pm on August 10, the complainant, 55-year-old Chanda Arjun Khare, had locked her home and gone to her brother’s house near Ayachit Mandir for the festival. Upon her return, she found the main door lock and latch broken.
The burglars decamped with ₹50,000 in cash, gold ornaments weighing 83 grams, and silver items weighing 2.2 kg.
Jaripatka Police have registered a case under Sections 305(a), 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against unidentified accused. Investigations are ongoing.
