SSB Rescue Two Women from Flesh Trade at Dharampeth Salon in Nagpur

Nagpur: Under “Operation Shakti” initiated by the Nagpur City Police Commissioner, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of Crime Branch raided at LOOK BOOK By INARA Unisex Salon, located in Mangalam Apartment, Khare Town, Dharampeth, under Sitabuldi police station limits and busted a sex racket here, on Tuesday, August 12. The action was taken under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, leading to the rescue of two women allegedly forced into prostitution.


Police arrested one accused, identified as Deepa Anand Godde (35), a resident of Valmiki Nagar, near Kalimata Mandir, Gokulpeth. Another accused is currently absconding. According to officials, the accused lured the victims with promises of high payment, provided them with a place at the salon, and encouraged them to engage in the flesh trade for personal financial gain.


During the raid, police seized material worth ₹40,030 from the spot as per the seizure panchnama. An offence has been registered under Section 143(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita along with Sections 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.


The operation was carried out under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, Joint Commissioner of Police Navin Chandra Reddy, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Vasant Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rahul Makanikar, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Abhijeet Patil. The team included Police Inspector Rahul Shire, API Shivaji Nanavare, ASI Shesrao Raut, constables Ashwin Mange, Sameer Shaikh, Kunal Masram, Kunal Bodkhe, Nitin Vasne, and driver Poonam Shende.
