Nagpur: Under the ongoing Operation Thunder, the NDPS squad of nagpur city police achieved a major breakthrough by arresting two accused involved in the illegal trade of MD drugs. The raid was conducted between midnight and 2:30 AM near Tajuddin Pande area, Shivankar Nagar slum, Nandanvan, following a tip-off about suspicious activity.

During the search, police found 57 grams of MD drug powder, along with a Swift car, moped, mobile phone, and ₹2,55,000 in cash — amounting to a total seizure worth ₹9 lakh. The arrested accused were identified as Raju alias Raviraj Raghuveer Baghel (28) and Shubham Shekhar Bagde (26), both with prior criminal backgrounds.

A third suspect, Waseem Sheikh from Kamptee, is currently absconding, and efforts are underway to trace him. This successful operation once again highlights the strong and continuous action being taken by Nagpur Police under Operation Thunder to root out drug abuse and safeguard the youth from the grip of narcotics.
