Nagpur: A 40-year-old woman has accused a 35-year-old man of allegedly luring her into a relationship with a false promise of marriage, obtaining loans using her identity documents and later threatening to circulate a private video if she refused to pay him.

The complaint was filed at Gittikhadan police station against Clement Eugene Pille (35), a resident of Mankapur, Nagpur. Police said the accused has not been arrested so far.

According to the complaint, the woman’s husband died in January 2026, after which she came in contact with Pille through Instagram. The two allegedly began communicating regularly over the phone.

The woman alleged that Pille subsequently made a false promise of marriage, called her to a location and established a physical relationship with her.

She further alleged that Pille used her Aadhaar and PAN cards to obtain loans through mobile applications in her name. He allegedly failed to repay the EMIs and refused to pay the loan amount despite her demands.

The woman also alleged that Pille abused her and threatened to defame her by circulating a private video allegedly recorded without her knowledge. He allegedly threatened to make the video viral if she did not pay him money.

Based on the woman’s complaint, Gittikhadan police registered a case under Sections 351(2), 352, 69, 506 and 504 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
