Nagpur Wildlife Rescuer Saves Indian Rock Python in a Brave Rescue Operation at Ram Nagar

Nagpur: In a remarkable display of courage and wildlife awareness, renowned Nagpur-based wildlife rescuer Shubham G.R, president of the Wild Animals and Nature Helping Society, successfully rescued an Indian Rock Python (अजगर) from the Ram Nagar colony on Sunday morning.


The incident occurred around 11 AM, when residents and passersby noticed a large python emerging from a house and moving toward the road. Panic quickly spread through the locality, with people gathering in large numbers and expressing fear as the snake continued to move through the residential area.


Upon receiving the information, Shubham G.R immediately reached the spot. With his expertise, calm approach, and well-practiced rescue techniques, he safely captured the python without causing harm to the reptile or the people around.


After the rescue, the healthy python was released safely into its natural forest habitat as per forest and wildlife guidelines.


The Indian Rock Python, commonly known as Ajgar in Hindi, is a non-venomous, protected species in India and plays a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance. Timely actions by trained rescuers like Shubham help ensure the animal’s safety while preventing unnecessary harm caused by panic.


This successful rescue once again highlights Shubham G.R’s commitment to wildlife protection and his reputation as one of Nagpur’s most trusted wildlife rescuers.
