Nagpur: Vidarbha Taxpayers Association (VTA) believes, as we continue to navigate the complexities of global politics and diplomacy, it is essential for us, as taxpayers, to make informed choices that align with our nation's values and interests.
In recent times, Turkey and Azerbaijan's stance on issues concerning our country's sovereignty and security has raised significant concerns. Their alleged support for Pakistan during the recent Pahalgam conflict and other tensions in the region is a matter of grave importance.
Shrawan Kumar Malu, President of VTA said, as taxpayers, we have a responsibility to ensure that our actions do not inadvertently support or bolster nations that compromise our country's security and integrity. Turkey and Azerbaijan's actions, as perceived by many, pose a challenge to our nation's interests. By choosing to travel to Turkey and Azerbaijan, we might be contributing to their economy, which could, in turn, be used to further agendas that are not in our favour.
In light of these developments, VTA appeal to the Taxpayers to reconsider their travel plans to Turkey and Azerbaijan until a more favorable diplomatic environment is established. Taxpayers’ decision to avoid travel to Turkey and Azerbaijan can serve as a powerful message, reflecting our collective stance on matters that affect our nation's security and dignity.
