Nagpur: In a sustained effort to curb ticketless and irregular travel, Nagpur Division of Central Railway conducted a Massive Ticket Checking Drive on 10th May 2025. The operation covered 22 trains across various routes and was aimed at ensuring compliance and safeguarding revenue.

The drive was carried out by a dedicated team of 90 Ticket Checking Staff, supported by 1 RPF personnel and 1 Commercial Inspector. The entire operation was closely monitored by Commercial Officers of the division to ensure effective execution and accountability.

A total of 1025 cases were detected during the check, resulting in the recovery of ₹6,42,830/- in penalties. On average, each staff member detected 11.39 cases, contributing to an average earning of ₹7,142.56 per head.

Nagpur Division remains committed to maintaining discipline in travel and appeals to passengers to travel with proper tickets to avoid penalties. These checks will continue as part of Central Railway’s ongoing vigilance and enforcement strategy.
