Nagpur: Under the ongoing “Operation Uplabdh,” the Crime Intelligence Branch of Railway Protection Force (RPF) Post Nagpur has successfully cracked down on illegal railway ticketing activities. On May 10, a swift operation led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajkumar Bharti and Constable Harvinder Singh resulted in the apprehension of an individual involved in black-marketing confirmed Tatkal railway tickets at the Kalmeshwar Railway Station Reservation Centre.
During the operation, a confirmed Tatkal reservation ticket was recovered from the suspect. Upon interrogation, the individual confessed to booking confirmed Tatkal tickets for acquaintances and charging ₹500 to ₹700 extra per passenger over the actual fare, in clear violation of railway rules.
The seized ticket was officially taken into custody under a seizure memo. The accused, along with the incriminating material and a written complaint filed by Constable Harvinder Singh, was handed over to RPF Police Station, Nagpur. Sub-Inspector V.P.
