Nagpur: A 41-year-old woman tragically died after suffering an electric shock while drying clothes on a wire at a farm in Hingna. The incident occurred around 7 pm on Monday, May 12 in Panzari, Mondha, Hingna.
According to the report lodged with Hingna Police Station, the deceased, Parvati Khasdar, a resident of Kanhapur, Post Sukdi, Taluka Selu, District Wardha, had travelled to Mohgaon, Hingna with her husband and children to attend her nephew’s wedding. On May 12, she and her husband, Kishor Ankush Khasdar (45), had gone to visit her brother’s farmland in the nearby area.
While at the farm, Parvati washed her husband’s clothes and later began drying them on an iron wire. However, the wire had accidentally come into contact with a live electric cable, causing her to receive a severe shock and fall unconscious.
She was immediately rushed to Shalinitai Meghe Hospital, where doctors declared her dead around 9 pm during treatment.
Following Kishor Khasdar’s statement, Sub-Inspector Bhole of Hingna Police registered a case of accidental death. Further investigation is underway.
