Kapilnagar Police Return 53 Recovered Mobile Phones Worth Rs 9.5 Lakh to Owners

Nagpur: Kapilnagar police organised a special programme to return recovered missing mobile phones to their rightful owners, bringing relief and smiles to dozens of complainants.


During investigations into mobile phone theft and loss complaints, Kapilnagar police employed technical expertise, analytical skills, and field-level follow-ups across multiple locations to trace and recover a total of 53 lost mobile phones belonging to different complainants.


On January 7, 2026, marking the occasion of “Rising Day Week”, the recovered mobile phones of various brands, collectively valued at approximately Rs 9.5 lakh, were formally handed over to their original owners at Kapilnagar police station. The phones were returned by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 6) Sandeep Pakhale.


The beneficiaries expressed visible satisfaction upon receiving their mobile phones. All 53 applicants thanked the Kapilnagar police for their dedicated efforts and described the initiative as a pleasant New Year surprise from the police department.


The successful initiative was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Ravindrakumar Singhal, Additional Commissioner Navinchandra Reddy, DCP Rajendra Dabhade (North Zone), DCP Dr Sandeep Pakhale (Zone 6), and ACP Satyawan Bandiwar (Jaripatka Division). The recovery and handover drive was executed by PI Satish Ade, PSI Gauri Hedau, and staff member Shubhangi Nagbhide.
