Hudkeshwar Police Solve House Burglary, Two Arrested; Gold and Vehicle Seized

Nagpur: Hudkeshwar Police have cracked a house burglary case and arrested two accused, recovering stolen gold ornaments and the vehicle allegedly used in the crime.


The burglary occurred on January 11, 2026, between 12:30 pm and 1:15 pm, under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar Police Station. The complainant, Ishwar Chandrabhan Chandekar (66), a resident of Plot No. 22, Shiv Nagar, near Shiv Temple, Pimpala Phata, had gone to work while his wife had locked the house and gone to a temple.


Taking advantage of the house being locked, an unidentified thief broke open the rear door latch, entered the house, and stole gold ornaments weighing 48.5 grams from an iron cupboard in the bedroom. The stolen property was valued at ₹69,500. Based on the complaint, Hudkeshwar Police registered a case against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).



Accused Identified Through Technical Investigation


During the investigation, the Hudkeshwar Police detection team used technical analysis and reliable intelligence to trace the accused. The two suspects taken into custody were identified as:


  • Mohammad Faheem Mohammad Subhan Ansari (40), resident of Sanjeevani Quarters, near Khwaja Bus Stand, Yashodhara Nagar, Nagpur
  • Mohammad Khalid Mohammad Kamruddin Ansari (32), resident of Pawan Nagar, Yashodhara Nagar, Nagpur



During detailed interrogation, both accused confessed to committing the burglary.



Gold and Vehicle Recovered


Police recovered 33 grams of gold ornaments from the accused. They also seized an Activa 6G scooter (registration number MH-49-BN-3984) allegedly used in the commission of the crime. The total value of the seized property is estimated at ₹3.6 lakh.


Both accused have been arrested, and further investigation is underway to determine whether they were involved in other similar offences.



Police Team Behind the Operation


The action was carried out under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (South Region) Shivajirao Rathod, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rashmita Rao (Zone 4), and Assistant Commissioner of Police Narendra Hiwre (Ajni Division).


The investigation team included Senior Police Inspector Hridaynarayan Yadav, Assistant Police Inspector Papin Ramteke, Head Constables Ganesh Bondre, Rajesh Mote, Mukesh Kanhake, Himanshu Patil, and police personnel Rajesh Dhopte and Pandey.
