Nagpur: The Unit 5 of the Nagpur Crime Branch arrested a 35-year-old female criminal on Wednesday who had been externed from the city limits following an order by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 5.

The accused, Aarti Anil Khare (35), a resident of Indira Mata Nagar, was reportedly found roaming in Martin Nagar. Acting on a tip-off, Unit 5 of the Crime Branch apprehended her. Upon verifying her details, Crime Branch officials discovered that Aarti had been externed on May 10, 2024, by the DCP Zone 5.

Despite the order, she was found violating the city limits, leading the police to detain her at the Jaripatka Police Station. An offence under Section 142 of the Maharashtra Police Act was registered against her. Further investigation is ongoing.
