Nagpur: Unit 5 of the Crime Branch on Wednesday apprehended a juvenile in conflict with the law, who had escaped from the Shelter Home at Pathankar Square under Kapil Nagar Police Station on July 23.

Based on a complaint filed by counsellor Kanchan Babanrao Thakare, Kapil Nagar Police registered an FIR under Section 137(2) of the BNS. Crime Branch Unit 5 also launched a parallel investigation in connection with the case.

During the investigation, Crime Branch officers received a tip-off about the boy, who was spotted walking from Kadabi Square to Mominpura Square. Acting swiftly on the information, the team intercepted him and handed him over to Kapil Nagar Police.

The Crime Branch team, led by PI Rahul Shire and including Constables Rajusingh Rathod, Chandrashekar Gautam, Rajendra Takalikar, Pravin Bhagat, Yogesh Mahajan, Roshan Tandulkar, and others, made a significant contribution during the operation.
