Nagpur: In a major action against human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation under “Operation Shakti,” Nagpur Crime Branch Unit 01 raided a spa centre in Bajaj Nagar and registered a case against an accused allegedly involved in operating a prostitution racket.
According to police, the raid was conducted at around 5:25 pm on June 21, 2026, based on specific information received during patrolling.
The Crime Branch team raided May-Fair Luxury Spa located at Prayag Enclave, Bajaj Nagar Chowk, within the jurisdiction of Bajaj Nagar Police Station.
During the operation, police found Aman Namdevrao Vaidya (28), resident of Aakar Building, Byramji Town, Sadar, Nagpur, allegedly facilitating commercial sex activities by providing premises and arranging customers for financial gain.
Police rescued four women from the premises.
Items seized during the raid included:
- Cash: ₹4,800
- Three mobile phones
- Other materials
The total value of seized property was estimated at ₹84,830.
During investigation, police found alleged involvement of two additional accused:
- Sushilkumar Lohariwal
- Kamalkumar Gosavi
(Both residents of Rourkela, Odisha)
Police said the accused were allegedly operating the activity jointly.
A case has been registered at Bajaj Nagar Police Station under Section 143(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) along with Sections 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
The accused and seized material have been handed over to Bajaj Nagar Police for further legal action and investigation.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of senior Nagpur Police officials and executed by Police Inspector Prashant Thaware and his team.
