Nagpur: Railway officials are raising concerns over the upcoming closure of platforms two and three at Ajni Railway Station as part of the station's ongoing upgradation project. The closure, expected to last for 90 to 100 days, is particularly troubling given the proximity of Dhammachakra Pravartan Din on October 14, when Ajni has traditionally served as a key deboarding point for devotees visiting Deekshabhoomi.
Ajni Railway Station is currently undergoing significant transformation, with work already underway. As part of these upgrades, the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has requested the closure of the two platforms to facilitate construction. The planned closure is expected to be implemented soon, raising concerns about potential chaos and inconvenience for travelers, especially during the upcoming religious event.
