Nagpur: A casual evening at a bar in Nagpur’s MIDC area turned violent when a man was assaulted with a beer bottle over a minor argument. The incident took place late Monday night at Sanket Bar near Zone Chowk.

The victim, Rajesh Pandey (48), a resident of Durga Nagar, had gone to the bar with his friend Bunty Yadav. While they were drinking at the counter, Piyush Gupta (25) from Gajanan Nagar entered the premises and reportedly slammed his hand on the counter aggressively. When Pandey questioned him, a verbal spat ensued, escalating quickly.

In a fit of rage, Piyush, with the help of his friend, attacked Pandey with a beer bottle, causing a head injury. The MIDC Police have registered a case against the accused duo and further investigations are underway.
