Nagpur: The Local Crime Branch (LCB) of Nagpur Rural Police busted an illegal rave party at RB Farmhouse located in the Kalmeshwar Police Station area, booking 10 individuals for the consumption of ganja and foreign liquor without permits. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the premises late at night and caught the accused red-handed near the swimming pool, where they were found consuming narcotics and alcohol.
During the raid, the police found that the accused were engaged in the illegal use of ganja and were drinking foreign liquor without any legal permission or license. The manager of the farmhouse, identified as Angel Ramratan Baiswara (24), a resident of Martin Nagar, Jaripatka, was present during the incident and has been booked. Along with him, nine others were found involved in the unlawful activities and have also been named in the FIR.
The accused have been identified as Kunal Chandramani Meshram (26) of Gopal Nagar; Parag Vijay Shende (27) of Karim Layout; Sujal Laxmikant Ghadale (21) of Pratap Nagar; Aryan Pravin Nahate (21) of Parsodi Layout; Ayush Kamlakar Kamble (21) of Dronacharya Nagar; Aditya Rameshwar Meshram (21) of Kudwa village, Gondia (currently residing in Gopal Nagar); Shanu Pradeep Lokhande (21) of Gayatri Nagar; Sarvesh Rajendra Meshram (21) of Gittikhadan Layout; and Rohit Arvind Patil (25), also of Gittikhadan Layout, Nagpur.
Police seized various items from the spot, including equipment used for ganja consumption, a quantity of ganja, four bottles of foreign liquor, seven Android smartphones, and three Apple iPhones. The total value of the seized items has been estimated at ₹2,80,695.
Following the raid, a case has been registered against all 10 under Sections 27 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and Sections 65(E) and 68 of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act. The police have initiated a further investigation to determine whether the farmhouse was being used regularly for such parties and if there are more individuals involved in the organization of the event.
