Nagpur: A threat email claiming to blow up the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters and Hedgewar Bhavan in Nagpur triggered a security alert on Wednesday. Following the receipt of the threatening message, police and bomb detection teams rushed to the locations and launched an extensive search operation.
According to preliminary information, authorities received an email warning of a bomb attack targeting the RSS headquarters and Hedgewar Bhavan. Acting immediately on the alert, local police, bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS), and other security agencies reached the premises and carried out a thorough inspection.
The search operation continued for nearly two hours. After detailed checks of the premises and surrounding areas, officials did not find any suspicious object or explosive material.
Police have intensified security in the area and initiated an investigation to trace the origin of the threatening email. Cyber experts are also expected to assist in identifying the sender and verifying the credibility of the threat.
Authorities have appealed to the public to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information while the investigation continues.
