Nagpur: Two unidentified men allegedly stole cigarette packets worth ₹1.82 lakh from the scooter of a salesman in the Imambada police station area of Nagpur.

According to the complaint, the incident took place between 9 pm and 9.30 pm on August 31 near Durga Temple, Imambada, Nagpur. The complainant, Arvind Manohar Zhilpe (45), a resident of Sahakar Nagar on Kharbi Road, works as a salesman for a cigarette company.

Zhilpe had arrived at the spot on his Honda Activa carrying cigarette stock worth ₹1,82,517 for sale. He parked the scooter and went nearby to collect an order. During his absence, two unidentified men allegedly arrived on a motorcycle, stole the cigarette stock kept on the Activa and fled.

The stolen stock included several brands, including Gold Flake, Gold Flake Premium, Gold Flake Lights, Gold Flake King, Four Square, Advance, Marlboro White, Clove and American cigarettes.

Based on Zhilpe’s complaint, Imambada police registered a case and launched an investigation to identify and trace the two accused.
