Nagpur: The birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, was celebrated with great enthusiasm during a midnight gathering at Samvidhan Square in Nagpur on Tuesday. The annual event witnessed a massive turnout, prompting the city police to deploy extensive security arrangements to maintain law and order.
Considering the large congregation at the prominent city landmark, Nagpur Police had made elaborate bandobast arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents during the celebrations. Senior officials, including Police Commissioner Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, Joint Commissioner Navinchandra Reddy, and Deputy Commissioner of Police Nityanand Jha (Zone II), personally remained present at the venue to supervise the security measures.
The senior officers conducted on-ground inspections at Samvidhan Square, closely monitoring the situation to ensure smooth conduct of the event. A significant number of police personnel and officers were deployed as part of the security detail.
According to officials, the celebrations concluded peacefully without any untoward incidents, and the entire bandobast operation was executed smoothly, ensuring safety and order throughout the event.
