Thieves Break Into House in Besa, Steal Cash, Jewellery and CCTV Equipment

Nagpur: Beltarodi Police have registered a burglary case after unidentified thieves allegedly broke into a locked house in Besa area of Nagpur and escaped with valuables worth over ₹1.52 lakh.


According to police, the theft took place between 8:00 am on June 20 and 10:00 am on June 21 at Plot No. 17, Dattanagar, near Hanuman Temple, Besa.


Complainant Sushil Hariharprasad Pandey (62) told police that he had locked his house and travelled to Gondia with his family.


During his absence, unidentified burglars allegedly broke the main door lock, entered the house and stole:


  • ₹10,000 cash
  • Gold and silver ornaments
  • CCTV cameras


The total estimated loss is ₹1,52,500.


Based on the complaint, Beltarodi Police Station registered a case against unknown persons under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).


Police have launched a search for the accused and further investigation is underway.
