Nagpur: A tragic accident occurred on the Amravati-Nagpur Highway early Sunday morning when a Shivshahi bus overturned while trying to avoid a cow that had unexpectedly entered the road. The incident resulted in the death of one passenger and injuries to 28 others.

The bus was en route from Nagpur to Akola when the accident happened on Highway 6. According to reports, the driver attempted to steer the bus away from the cow, but in doing so, he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and overturn.

Local residents promptly responded to the scene, assisting the injured passengers and transporting them to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. The bus driver later recounted that the cow had appeared suddenly, leaving him with little time to react, which led to the unfortunate mishap.
