Nagpur: In a major crackdown, the Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch on Monday busted a sex racket being run by a father-son duo at OYO Green Guest House, located behind Jayanti Nagari 07 in Dattadham Nagar, Besa Road, under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar Police Station. Two victimized women were rescued during the operation.
The accused have been identified as Prajwal Sachin Tule (22) and his father Sachin Gangadhar Tule (47), both residents of Dattadham Nagar, Besa Road. Police sources confirmed that the duo is reportedly close aides of notorious gangster Santosh Ambekar and have a history of serious criminal offences, including murder and attempted murder cases registered against them.
The raid was conducted based on a tip-off received by the Crime Branch. A team led by Police Inspector Gajanan Gulhane carried out the operation between 4:20 PM and 8:30 PM on Monday. The team included Head Constables Prakash Mathankar, Vivek Adhav, WHC Anup Yadav, NPC Sheshrao Raut, and Police Constables Kunal Masram, Sameer Sheikh, and Kunal Bokhade.
During the operation, police found the two women being forced into prostitution. They were rescued and sent for medical examination. Authorities seized two mobile phones valued at ₹40,000, a packet of condoms worth ₹10, and ₹2,600 in cash, totaling a seizure of ₹42,610.
A case has been registered at Hudkeshwar Police Station under Sections 143(2)(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA), 1956. The rescued women and seized materials have been handed over to the Hudkeshwar Police for further legal proceedings.
The bust has once again exposed how organized criminal elements are exploiting women through illegal activities under the guise of hospitality. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the racket and identify other potential accomplices.
