NAGPUR: NewEra Hospitals inaugurated its 300-bed flagship hospital in Wardhaman Nagar on October 23, marking a significant expansion of advanced healthcare infrastructure in Nagpur and the wider Central India region. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the inauguration along with medical professionals, eminent dignitaries and prominent citizens.

The new hospital brings advanced robotic surgery, AI-enabled diagnostic imaging, specialised medical services and rehabilitation facilities under one roof. The group said the facility is aimed at strengthening access to advanced and patient-centric healthcare for people across Nagpur, Vidarbha and Central India.

NewEra Hospitals began its journey in 2016 with a 50-bed healthcare facility and has since expanded into a healthcare network operating across multiple locations. The Wardhaman Nagar hospital marks another milestone in the group’s efforts to expand its clinical capabilities and introduce advanced medical technologies in the region.

Advanced robotic surgery and AI-enabled diagnostics

A key highlight of the new facility is its robotic surgery programme, featuring single-port and multi-port robotic surgical systems. The hospital has also announced the introduction of what it describes as India’s first single-port surgical robot.

The hospital’s diagnostic infrastructure includes a fully digital, AI-enabled 3T MRI scanner, a fully digital, AI-enabled 256-slice CT scanner and Hologic 3D mammography technology. The facility will also incorporate AI-based monitoring in operating theatres and intensive care units, alongside robotic physiotherapy and advanced rehabilitation services.

These technologies are intended to support diagnosis, surgical treatment, patient monitoring and recovery across multiple specialties. The hospital said clinical expertise, patient safety and individualised treatment would remain central to its approach.

In addition to medical facilities, the hospital has focused on the comfort of patients’ attendants by providing a homely environment, food facilities and comfortable accommodation.

NewEra Hospitals outlines vision for Central India

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr Anand Sancheti, Managing Director and Co-Founder of NewEra Hospitals, said the new facility reflects the group’s commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible.

He said the journey from a 50-bed facility to a 300-bed flagship hospital demonstrates the organisation’s focus on growth, innovation and patient well-being. The new hospital, he added, would help bring advanced medical capabilities closer to patients across Central India.

Dr Nilesh Agrawal, Director and Co-Founder of NewEra Hospitals, said the Wardhaman Nagar facility would expand the range of advanced treatments available in the region. He highlighted the role of robotic surgical systems, next-generation diagnostic imaging and specialised medical services in strengthening local healthcare capabilities.

Dr Nidheesh Mishra, Director and Co-Founder, said the group aims to strengthen comprehensive healthcare through experienced clinicians, advanced diagnostics and timely medical intervention. He also highlighted the importance of supporting informed clinical decisions across multiple specialties, including cardiac care.

A new milestone in Nagpur’s healthcare infrastructure

The inauguration marks NewEra Hospitals’ transition from its initial 50-bed facility to a 300-bed flagship hospital equipped with advanced medical technology and specialised services.

With its new Wardhaman Nagar facility, the group aims to expand access to modern healthcare for patients who require specialised diagnosis and treatment closer to home. The hospital’s expansion also reflects the growing focus on integrating technology with clinical expertise and patient-centred care in Nagpur’s healthcare sector.

NewEra Hospitals said it would continue to focus on healthcare infrastructure, responsible medical innovation and improving the patient experience as it expands its presence across Central India.
