New Year’s Eve Gesture: Pachpaoli Police Return 87 Lost Mobile Phones to Owners

Nagpur: Marking the New Year with a goodwill gesture, Pachpaoli Police returned 87 lost mobile phones to their rightful owners on the eve of New Year 2026. The mobiles, collectively valued at approximately ₹13.66 lakh, were recovered through sustained technical investigation and field-level intelligence by the Pachpaoli police team.


During the probe into multiple missing mobile complaints registered at Pachpaoli Police Station, officers used technical tracking methods and on-ground verification across different locations to trace and seize the devices.


On December 31, 2025, the recovered mobiles belonging to various brands were formally handed over to their owners at the police station by Senior Police Inspector Baburao Raut.


The recipients expressed visible relief and happiness on receiving their lost phones and thanked the police for what they termed a “New Year’s gift.” All 87 complainants appreciated the efforts of the police team for restoring their property ahead of the New Year.


The operation was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, Additional CP Navinchandra Reddy, DCP Rajendra Dabhade (North Region), DCP Rahul Madane, and ACP Shivprasad Parve. The recovery was executed by a team led by Inspector Baburao Raut, with contributions from crime branch officials and staff of Pachpaoli Police Station.
