Nagpur Police Resolves 674 Public Complaints on Grievance Redressal Day; CP Singhal Supervises Action at Hudkeshwar PS

Nagpur: In a citywide initiative under the directions of Commissioner of Police Ravinderkumar Singhal, the Nagpur City Police conducted a Grievance Redressal Day on Saturday, July 5, across all police stations under its jurisdiction. The objective was to address long-pending citizen complaints through direct engagement with senior officers.


Commissioner Singhal himself was present at Hudkeshwar Police Station between 11 am and 2:30 pm, where he personally heard grievances and provided guidance. A total of 38 applications were resolved at Hudkeshwar alone, including:


  • 1 complaint forwarded from the Chief Minister’s Office
  • 2 from the Guardian Minister’s Office
  • 12 escalated from senior levels
  • 23 local complaints


Around 45–50 citizens, including complainants and general attendees, were present during the session.


Citywide, 490 complainants visited their respective police stations to present grievances. Senior officers at each location heard the complaints and initiated necessary legal action. In total, 674 complaints were resolved, comprising 266 escalated cases and 408 local grievances.



Citizens Urged to Attend Weekly Redressal Days:


The Nagpur Police has appealed to residents to participate in the weekly Grievance Redressal Day held every Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm at all police stations. Citizens are advised to visit their respective stations with necessary documents and evidence for prompt redressal of legitimate complaints.
