Nagpur: A 40-year-old man was electrocuted after accidentally coming into contact with a live wire while retrieving clothes from the terrace of his home in Ambenagar, Bhandewadi, under the Pardi Police Station limits.
The incident occurred around 12:21 am on June 21, when the deceased, Amol Bhagwan Bagmare, went to the terrace of his residence at Plot No. 84, Sundar Nagar, to remove clothes that were left out to dry. During the process, he came in contact with an electric wire, causing him to collapse unconscious.
He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Pardi Police registered a case of accidental death based on the medical report under the supervision of Police Sub-Inspector Satish Aher (8055525301). Further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the exposed wiring and if any negligence was involved.
