Nagpur: Unidentified burglars broke into a locked house in Vishwabharati Layout, Manjra, under Yashodharanagar Police Station limits, and stole valuables worth ₹3.7 lakh, including cash, jewellery, and a laptop.
The incident took place between June 10 and June 21, when the complainant, Sunil Harishchandra Gupta (65), had locked his house and gone with his family to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The thieves broke open the main door lock and ransacked the bedroom, stealing ₹5,000 in cash, gold ornaments, and a Dell laptop.
Based on Gupta’s complaint, a case has been registered under Sections 305, 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case is being investigated by PSI Tayade, and efforts are on to identify and apprehend the culprit.
