Nagpur: A massive ticket checking drive was conducted by Nagpur Division of Central Railway on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 across various trains to curb ticketless and irregular travel. A total of 23 trains were thoroughly inspected during this special drive.

The checking operation was carried out by a dedicated team comprising 90 ticket checking staff, 9 RPF personnel, and 5 commercial inspectors. The drive was closely monitored by senior Commercial Officers to ensure smooth and effective execution.

As a result of this intensive checking, 1430 cases of ticketless or irregular travel were detected, resulting in a total penalty realization of ₹9,16,660.

Central Railway appeals to all passengers to travel with proper and valid tickets to avoid inconvenience and penalties. Such drives will be conducted regularly to ensure compliance and improve passenger discipline.
