Nagpur: In celebration of Maharashtra Day, the Sitabuldi Fort in Nagpur will be opened to the public on May 1, 2025 (Thursday). The historic fort, maintained by the Indian Army, will be accessible from 9 AM to 4 PM for visitors wishing to explore its rich heritage.
Entry to the fort will be permitted through the Station Canteen (CSD) Gate, located opposite KIMS Kingsway Hospital. Visitors will be required to present a valid identity proof at the entry point.
The initiative offers a rare opportunity for citizens to visit the iconic site, which holds immense historical and military significance in the region. The Army has been opening the fort on select national occasions to strengthen the connection between the armed forces and the local population.
Authorities have urged the public to maintain discipline and follow all security protocols during the visit.
