Nagpur: Abu, a common friend of Avinash Bhusari and members of the Hiranwar gang, who had tipped off the latter about the café owner's whereabouts—leading to his brutal murder—reportedly ended his life by hanging himself at his aunt's residence in Khapri, under the jurisdiction of Beltarodi Police Station, on Tuesday, April 29.

Abu was employed at Avinash Bhusari’s café and was familiar with the Hiranwar gang members. During a press conference held on Sunday, April 27, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rahul Makhnikar revealed that Abu had provided the tip-off to the Hiranwar gang regarding the victim's location.

Abu was summoned by Ambazari Police for questioning after the murder and was released following interrogation.

On Tuesday, he was found dead, having reportedly hanged himself at his aunt’s house. The exact reason behind his extreme step has not yet been determined.
