Nagpur: Kalamna Police have registered a case against a hospital canteen worker for allegedly stalking, repeatedly calling a female colleague on her mobile phone and WhatsApp, and threatening to defame her among her relatives after she refused to speak to him.
The accused has been identified as Dhurav Kailas Buwade, a native of Parsatani village in Morena district, Madhya Pradesh.
According to the FIR, the 34-year-old complainant and the accused both work in the canteen of private hospital in Nagpur. The complainant’s husband passed away around three months ago.
Police said that since March 1, 2025, the accused had allegedly been repeatedly calling the woman on her mobile phone and WhatsApp, pressuring her to speak with him. When she did not respond, he allegedly threatened to defame her among her relatives, causing her mental distress and humiliation.
Following the woman’s complaint, Kalamna Police registered an FIR on July 14, 2026, under Sections 78(1)(i), 78(1)(ii), 296 and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
