Nagpur: The height barrier installed on the Shaheed Gowari Flyover at the Zero Mile end was damaged once again after an unidentified heavy vehicle reportedly rammed into the structure with great force in the early hours of Wednesday, December 4. This is the third time in recent months that the safety barrier has been installed and later found broken, raising serious concerns over heavy vehicle movement on the flyover.

According to sources, the incident occurred during the wee hours and went unnoticed until morning commuters spotted the damaged barrier. Photos and videos of the structure lying broken on the road have gone viral on social media, with citizens expressing shock over repeated failures of the height restriction system.

The barrier was installed to prevent heavy vehicles from entering the flyover, where several safety issues have been reported earlier. Despite clear signage, unidentified trucks or trailers continue to violate the restriction, leading to repeated damage and posing risks to motorists.
