Nagpur: Jaripatka Police have registered a cheating case after a 73-year-old woman was allegedly duped of gold ornaments worth ₹3.75 lakh by two unidentified men using a false promise of financial gain.
The incident occurred at around 6:15 pm on June 18 near Jaitvan Buddha Vihar under Jaripatka Police Station limits.
According to police, complainant Shobha Damodhar Gajbhiye (73), resident of New Indora, Barakholi Chowk, Lane No. 1, Jaripatka, was walking on a public road when two unknown men, aged around 40–45 years, approached her.

The accused persuaded her to remove and hand over her gold ornaments worth ₹3,75,000 for the ritual. When she returned after walking ahead as instructed, both men had disappeared.
Based on her complaint, PSI Sachin Khutwal registered a case against the unidentified accused under Sections 318(4) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
