Nagpur: The Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch has unearthed a flesh trade racket operating under the cover of an office in Pandit Malviya Nagar under the jurisdiction of Pratap Nagar police station. The prime accused was arrested and a woman victim was rescued during the operation.

Police identified the arrested accused as Amol Ashok Pachpor (46). According to investigators, the racket was being run from a duplex flat in Mouli Apartment, where the accused had displayed a board claiming to offer “Marketing Job and Investment Plan” services to avoid suspicion and mislead the public.

Following a tip-off, the SSB team laid a trap by sending a dummy customer to the premises. A deal was allegedly struck for ₹3,000, and Pachpor was nabbed red-handed while accepting the money. A woman was rescued from the flat during the raid.

During questioning, police learned that the victim was driven into the racket due to financial hardship. Her husband, reportedly addicted to alcohol, had deserted the family, leaving her to fend for her children, which the accused allegedly exploited.

A case has been registered under relevant sections, and police are probing the possibility of a larger network. Further investigation is underway.

The operation was conducted by an SSB team led by Police Inspector Rahul Shire, with the support of Woman Head Constable Arti Chouhan, NPC Sheshrao Raut, and constables Ashwin Mange, Sameer Sheikh, Kunal Masram and Kunal Bodkhe.
