Nagpur: Hundreds of students, parents, and activists gathered at Samvidhan Square in Nagpur on Tuesday for a protest led by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke, demanding accountability over alleged irregularities and paper leaks in national-level examinations.

The demonstration raised concerns over alleged issues linked to examinations including NEET, CBSE, CUET, and SSC, with protesters calling for systemic reforms and greater transparency in the examination process.

During the protest, participants demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alleging failure to prevent repeated controversies surrounding competitive and academic examinations.

Addressing the gathering, Dipke linked the protest to the recent death of Nagpur student Aakansha Chaturvedi, who allegedly died by suicide after the cancellation of the NEET examination. He criticised the government’s response and questioned whether adequate support systems existed for affected students and families.

The protest witnessed a significant turnout, prompting authorities to deploy adequate police personnel at the venue to maintain law and order.

The demonstration remained focused on demands for exam reforms, stronger anti-paper leak mechanisms, and increased institutional accountability.
