Nagpur: Ahead of leading a protest over alleged examination irregularities, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke visited the family of Aakansha Chaturvedi, a Nagpur student who allegedly died by suicide following the cancellation of the NEET examination.

Dipke met the bereaved family to offer condolences and expressed concern over the mental pressure faced by students amid recurring controversies around competitive examinations.

Speaking after the visit, Dipke said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has frequently spoken about “Pariksha Pe Charcha,” it is now time for policymakers to hear students’ “Mann Ki Baat.”

Questioning the government’s handling of exam security, Dipke asked why stronger preventive measures — including secure transportation of question papers through systems comparable to Air Force logistics — were not introduced earlier to curb paper leaks.

Referring to student distress linked to examination-related issues, Dipke claimed that nearly 40 students had died by suicide in the last two years and questioned how long authorities would continue delaying corrective action.

Dipke also criticised Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, alleging that despite Aakansha’s residence being located near the CM’s residence in Nagpur, the family did not receive a visit after her death.

The visit took place shortly before a public demonstration over alleged exam-related irregularities.
