Nagpur: A tragic incident occurred in the Imamwada area, where a 15-year-old girl, identified as Astha Balwant Birsamogare, lost her life after a dilapidated wall collapsed on her while she was cleaning garbage near her house.
The incident took place on June 16, 2025, around 6:00 PM, at Borkar Galli No. 4 in the Bara Signal locality. According to the police, the girl was clearing trash near the rear wall of her residence when the old and unstable wall suddenly gave way, trapping her underneath and causing severe injuries.
She was immediately rushed to Centre Point Hospital at Medical Chowk, but succumbed to her injuries during treatment on June 19 at 4:17 PM.
Based on a report filed by her grandfather, Anil Devidayal Katiyar (60), a resident of the same locality, Imamwada Police have registered a case of accidental death. PSI Sachin Bade is leading the investigation. Further probe is ongoing.
