Nagpur: In a shocking development, two minority-run schools in Nagpur have been found operating without official permission, prompting authorities to register a case after an inquiry by the district administration. The matter surfaced during an investigation conducted by the Primary Education Department of Zilla Parishad Nagpur.

The schools identified in the probe are Gausiya Secondary School and Zubeda Secondary School, both located in Rahmat Nagar, Wanjra area of the city. These institutions are reportedly operated by a minority education trust based in Bhandara district. Officials revealed that Gausiya Secondary School alone had granted admission to around 450 students, out of which 179 are currently attending classes.

During the investigation, serious irregularities came to light, including the issuance of fake Transfer Certificates (TCs) and bogus marksheets to students. Authorities believe that these fraudulent documents could have long-term consequences on students’ academic records and future prospects.

The matter has further deepened with allegations that large sums of money were collected from teachers on the promise of providing jobs in these schools. This information has been submitted to the Maharashtra State Minority Commission, raising concerns about a possible recruitment scam linked to the institutions.

Taking cognizance of the issue, Pyare Khan, Chairman of the Minority Commission, has directed strict action against those involved. Authorities are now expected to expand the investigation to uncover the full extent of the alleged fraud.

The incident has raised serious questions about regulatory oversight of minority educational institutions and the verification mechanisms in place for student admissions and teacher recruitment. Officials have assured that further investigation is underway and stringent action will be taken against all those found guilty.
