Nandanvan Police Arrest Three Accused in Theft Case; Two Crimes Solved in Nagpur

Nagpur: The Nandanvan Police have arrested three accused in connection with a theft case and successfully solved two crimes, officials said.


The complainant, Vipin Anilrao Bandiwar (40), a resident of Shrikrishna Nagar in Nandanvan, works as a manager at TNT Infra Limited. The company is currently undertaking flyover construction work near KDK T-Point in Nagpur.


According to police, between 2:00 am and 3:00 am on March 30, 2026, unknown persons stole equipment from an iron container at the construction site. The stolen items included a welding machine, cutter machine, holder cable, and other materials worth ₹95,180.


Based on the complaint, a case was registered at Nandanvan Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against unknown accused.


During the investigation, a police patrolling team noticed three individuals behaving suspiciously in an open ground near KDK T-Point. Upon questioning, they were identified as:

  • Syed Sahil Syed Jalal (20)
  • Sahil Ali Mustaq Ali alias Gujjar (19)
  • Shahbaz Khan Sher Khan (25)
  • All residents of Hasanbagh area in Nandanvan.


During interrogation, the accused confessed to committing the theft collectively. They also admitted to stealing a white Activa scooter (MH-40-CE-6174) from near Shrikrishna Nagar Chowk.


Police arrested all three accused and recovered stolen property and the vehicle collectively valued at ₹1,09,300. Further investigation is underway.


The operation was carried out under the guidance of senior Nagpur Police officials, including the Police Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, and other senior officers, by the Nandanvan Police team.
